Between river swims, in the golden dusk of Alter, a canoe with three fishermen drifts across the sun.
In a scene that almost feels staged, one lies back resting in the boat, another stares at me in silence, and the third keeps rowing through the waters of the Tapajós.
Standing in that fresh water, I capture the moment just before it slips away, carried off by the sunset.
