The guardians of Wat Phra Kaew, known as "Yaksha" and "Yakshini", are imposing Dvarapalas - guardian statues often found in Asian temples, symbolizing spiritual protection. These mythological figures have a powerful presence, their fierce expressions contrasting with the serenity of the temple, creating an intriguing visual balance.
